REIKI is a simple technique for transferring healing energy from a giver to a receiver. Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive.
REIKI is a Japanese word that means Universal Life Energy and is born from the union of two concepts:
- REI means Spiritual Strength and contains the ideograms that signify "rain", "mouth", and "make sacrifices" in Japanese.
- KI is a fundamental concept in Traditional Chinese Medicine and in the Martial Arts. We can define it as "Energy that runs in the body" or also "Internal Strength".
So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."
Hawayo Takata, the master that introduced REIKI to the West, wrote in her diary, "I think the a Supreme Being exists, the Absolute Infinity, a Force that governs the world and the universe, an Invisible Spiritual Power that in front of all the other powers whiter in their significance. This power is incomprehensible to man, unimaginable, and not measurable. It is a Universal Force of like from which every being received continued blessings. I will call this energy REIKI…"
The initiation or harmonization
Everyone is able to use Reiki energy, but is only able to do so after receiving attunements during a special initiation ceremony. During this ceremony, an energy channel is opened in the giver across which the chakras are reawakened. The person receives from this energy all that they need on a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level.

The union of REI and KI across this initiation ceremony represents the conscious choice to carry the energy of the Spirit into the material and to raise it towards the Spirit. This separation that for thousands of years has distinguished the divine world from that of man, ideas from concrete, and the immortal spirit from that of the physical body destined to decadence, appears culminated across the ritual and mysterious intervention that unifies into one Spirit and Material, God and Man, and the creator with the creation.
The Orient and The West meet across Reiki and founded themselves in a discipline that departing from the physical body brings to the discovery Universal Spirit. Across the initiation and the treatments, it reveals the Blue Harmony of the daily life, directing our actions and our sentiments towards compassion, honesty, concord, and unconditional love. Illness and pain dissolves because the ego contorts and dies. Conflicts vanish because of the separation and judgment leaves space for love and comprehension.
The Vital Energy increases because it moves oneself closer to God recognizing on self created in his image and similarity.

On the Reiki 1st level you will learn to receive the energy from your hands, during the 2nd and the 3rd level you will know the universal symbols and the distant healing.

Reiki Level I
The attunement to the Reiki Energy (Universal Life Force) is a spiritual process. During class, the Reiki Master initiates the student to Reiki and the palm chakras are opened. The Student will be a channel for Reiki energy for life. After the attunement, ample time is provided to practice giving treatments. The student then becomes a Reiki Practitioner.

Reiki Level II
The student is attuned to Three Sacred Reiki Symbols:
A Power Symbol, a Mental/Emotional Symbol and
a Distant Symbol. The distant symbol empowers a student to give a Reiki treatment at a distance. It also permits Reiki to be sent into the past to soften a situation in the present. One may send Reiki to an important meeting or job interview to meet you when you get there. Time and space do not limit the use of Reiki.
Reiki III and Master
A student is attuned to one Master Symbol. The Reiki III Master Level attunes the student to pass the attunement process on to others. The Reiki III Master Level may be obtained solely for self spiritual progression

Il Reiki is for everybody! Who would like to find a better self connection e conscious? Not there is limitation of age, culture or religion. Its use is not dependent on one's intellectual capacity or spiritual development and therefore is available to everyone. It has been successfully taught to thousands of people of all ages and backgrounds.

While Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not a religion. It has no dogma, and there is nothing you must believe in order to learn and use Reiki. In fact, Reiki is not dependent on belief at all and will work whether you believe in it or not. Because Reiki comes from God, many people find that using Reiki puts them more in touch with the experience of their religion rather than having only an intellectual concept of it.

While Reiki is not a religion, it is still important to live and act in a way that promotes harmony with others.

Dr.Mikau Usui, he founder of the Reiki system of natural healing, recommended that one practice certain simple ethical ideals to promote peace and harmony, which are nearly universal across all cultures.
